What Is A182 F316 Material?

Stainless Steel 316 Flanges are very common in usage due to their improved corrosion resistance properties. A182 F316 Material has an addition of molybdenum in the composition which brings about the extra corrosion resistance. 316 Stainless Steel Pipe Flanges are made up of austenitic stainless steel with chromium and nickel as alloy material. Therefore Stainless Steel 316 Weld Neck Flanges are stronger and durable. For extended usage and for welding and strength, the A182 F316L Material is used.

Use Of Stainless Steel 316 Blind Flanges In Pipe Lines?

Stainless Steel 316 Blind Flanges can be applied to the endings of pipe lines to shut them down. A182 F316L Blind can be used as an inspection cover even with other grades of pipe lines. SS 316 Blind Flange can come in different pressure classes. Depending on the pressure requirement of the application, different classes of Stainless Steel 316 Flanges could be used. Rajtilak Metal supplies a variety of A182 F316 Flange classes. ASTM A182 F316 Slip On Flanges Have Heat Treatment?

ASTM A182 F316 Slip On Flanges can come in both raised face and flat face types for easy installation. Stainless Steel 316 Slip On Flange slips onto the pipe during connection and cannot be hardened after welding with heat treatment. SS SORF Flange can however be hardened with cold working under room temperatures. A182 F316L Flange is made of a low carbon variation of the same material.

Difference Between ASTM A182 F316 VS AISI 316

  • ASTM A182 F316 Flanges are very common in usage due to their improved corrosion resistance properties. A182 F316 Material has an addition of molybdenum in the composition which brings about the extra corrosion resistance.
  • SS 316L Flange can come in both raised face and flat face types for easy installation. SS 316 Slip On Flange slips onto the pipe during connection and cannot be hardened after welding with heat treatment.
